Thursday Night Fever..We @reverieeventdesign planned and installed 10 events between the end of October and the end of November, so what a treat it was to attend this beautiful holiday party! Thank you @provisionsto for such a beautiful night at one of my favourite venues in the city @thompsonlandrygallery – during the @toxmasmkt all lit up and twinkling! #torontoevents #distilleryto #tistheseason #reverieeventdesign @sarasreverie
We had so much fun planning the catering for this event at Globe & Mail Centre in Toronto with Presidential Gourmet and TRIA. The theme for the conference was Climate Change so the emphasis was on celebrating locally-sourced and home-made treats, with a whimsical style! From the ‘Harvest Your Own Herbs’ at lunch (with tiny scissors), to the ‘Eh’ Cookies during afternoon break, the guests were entertained by the feast!
Onsite styling a shoot I designed..Couldn’t wait to get into this loft-style brick & beam space, with all of its gorgeous natural light! Can we please come here every week? Installed 4 vignettes (first up – these cozy lounges..more pics to come..) All of the furniture is vintage. Had so much fun collecting these succulents and planting them in these wee terracotta pots – placed the grouping on this vintage farmhouse cutting board. The print – I’ve had for a long time and decided to design a lounge around it – it’s one of my faves.. Oh, and the cherry Docs of course lol..Such a beautiful day.

Had the wonderful opportunity to attend the opening of Confluence II at @alisonmilnegallery last week. We enjoyed this show so much that we didn’t want to leave. I love being in this gallery – it’s such a beautifully designed space and it has such a peaceful atmosphere. The show runs until June 9, 2018 – please go and see it if you have the chance!
It’s cold out there but it’s warm in here. We love designing & styling lounges! This Sponsored VIP Lounge was part of a ‘Gala-ing’ evening which included an induction ceremony and dinner for 1200 guests, celebrating industry leaders in Canadian Mining. The bar and coffee tables were branded in vinyl-cut lettering, and handmade concrete vases with bands of metallic paint, various books on the mining industry, faux-fur throws, and reclaimed-log accent tables added a touch of whimsy. This evening was about unveiling a new logo for The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame as well – which was celebrated with a custom ice-sculpture atop the reclaimed bookcase. Thank you, to @carbonandcraft for capturing the images.

Selected these lovely green succulents in concrete pots for a recent VIP Lounge installation. Nothing like nature to add some colour on a grey day. More images of them styled by Reverie in the Lounge to come!
Had the pleasure of attending the District 28 Open House in Leslieville on January 18. District 28 is a an Event Venue located in Toronto’s Studio District. With two unique Studios to choose from, as well as an in-house Screening room, Bistro and Reception area, District 28 has a number of spaces to choose from. It was a lovely opportunity to meet up with some familiar faces and some new ones as well!
These vintage, glitter, department store signs circa the 1930s had us feeling merry! We picked them up to install as decor for holiday parties and then had to take the opportunity to style them outside as soon as the snow fell; the timing was too good to pass up. Not going to lie – they are so great that it is tempting to keep them up all year ’round!
‘Bring the outside in..an elegant dinner in the forest..’ This VIP Reception & Dinner was an absolute dream to plan, design, & style, from concept to installation. Here’s to a wonderful client for letting me create a dinner ‘in a forest’ & for sharing my enthusiasm for the details, from all of the lovingly selected, gorgeous wood tableware, right down to the sprigs of Rosemary in the napkin folds, & my stash of vintage, farmhouse cutting boards & cozy throws. The Royal Conservatory, with its floor to ceiling windows was our first choice for bringing this concept to life and the team at RCM was fantastic. It was a dream to work with 10tation as always, to create an exquisite menu which featured beautiful, locally sourced Canadian fare and wine. Thank you to @carbonandcraft for capturing our installation..This event was a labour of love for me for sure..
