Attended the open house for District 28 on Thursday. Met up with some vendors and enjoyed a glass of ‘Veuve’, poured by an aerialist.
The Gentlemen’s Expo
There are many great reasons to visit The Gentlemen’s Expo at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre; The Soundstage, The Sports Zone, Sampling of Craft Beer and Spirits, and the many Celebrity Appearances. I was thrilled to manage the Main Stage again this year and was fortunate to meet some extremely talented and inspiring speakers. One of the speakers I met this year was George St-Pierre. He was interviewed onstage and then proceeded to an autograph-signing session with over 250 fans who had been waiting in line since 7:00am. GSP greeted everyone personally and was just as gracious with the 1st fan as he was with the 250th.
‘First Night’ Reception
The Four Seasons for the Performing Arts was a lovely and fitting setting for the P3 2014 First Night Reception on the evening of November 3rd. The contemporary setting was a wonderful backdrop for modern, branded decor to showcase the logos for the 6 sponsors for the evening. ‘Marie Antoinette’, and a Mozart – inspired human statue greeted the guests, adding a touch of whimsy in keeping with the musical venue, while a brass quintet entertained. So much fun to be involved in planning and designing this event. *Antonia herself learned to play the harpsichord, spinet and clavichord, as well as the harp. During the family’s musical evenings, she would sing French songs and Italian arias.
